Sunshine Scare

As the ozone layer thins out—one effect of climate change—UV exposure rises, and that’s bad news for good skin. Every 20 percent of ozone layer lost boots UV exposure about 33 percent. The seasons have shifted, too, so spring, summer and fall are all longer. That means you’re probably spending more time outdoors, in brighter sun, with less ozone to protect your skin from the signs of sun damage and aging. What’s a sun-loving gal to do? One word: Sunscreen—and lots of it! (Ok, that’s five words, but you get the picture.)
